sometimes you just need a helping hand...
Behavior consultations address a wide range of behavior problems, including inappropriate jumping, leash-pulling, play biting, resource guarding, and separation anxiety.
Trainer Tanja Owe, who has an M.S. in Companion Animal Behavior Analysis & Counseling, uses a science-based approach to modify problem behavior. Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) involves identifying the function of the behavior. It also involves identifying and modifying the antecedents (i.e. triggers), environment, and/or consequences that help maintain that behavior.
Consultations, which involve one-on-one training, can take place in the classroom, in Greenbelt Park, or in your home. Consultations are $150 and include:
2 one-on-one sessions (60 minutes each);
1 written report containing recommendations and a training plan; and
long-term email support.
